On another note they are still battling away and will continue to do so until November elections. Next, the Illinois House approved a fifty six billion dollar state budget to enhance education and public safety. This will now move on to the senate for approval. With this bill it would allow more money for preschool and also increase college student grants. In which this would help out the community with all of the rising costs with colleges today. (www.chicagotribune.com) There has been a lot of work done to this bill. Funding for school is what is needed. Finally, another rumor is that why Blagojevich has filled an extention in order to do his taxes. He had done this every year. Topinka says that he should have filled already and that he will file right before election time. Now that will not even be made public until after the election in November. This is normal with everyone's busy lives. Sometimes we need extensions in order to get the job done. (www.dailysouthtown.com) In conclusion, Blagojevich is running strong in the race for another term as Governor. Shall he succeed the work shall be completed right the first time instead of passing the ball and someone else starting all over from the bottom.

Blagojevich Working for Another Term.....

Recently, Blagojevich has signed a bill to have ten million dollars of state funds to go to the embryonic stem cell research. This has cause a lot of talk through the government. A cook county judge ruled April 14th that this is an "abuse of power." The judge said "this is an action for legislature and voters to take action on, not the courts." (www.chicagosuntimes.com) Basically this means that the "decision-making" process needs to go into effect. They must get public opinion on this bill to pass. Next, the governor has had a debate with Topinka. This debate was to help rise money for his campaign to run again in office to be our governor again. The verdict of ex-governor Ryan was also brought to the debate to go against Topinka. Saying that she had to seen or had to have a thought of what was going on behind the scenes. (www.chicagotribune.com) Finally, a new bill has been passes for strict laws against people who impersonate police and firefighters. This will now be a felony for people found guilty of impersonation. (www.chicagotribune.com) In conclusion, Blagojevich is running strong against Topinka and it will be a close race in November. More debate should happen between our governor and Topinka, this was just a small debate.

Blagojevich in Illinois...

There has been a lot of talk floating around about the race for governor. Blagojevich is our Governor currently and has a very strong chance for another term. We need to stop switching governor's just to see if they will better Illinois. A few topics that have been on the table have been: to help current vets find work, Topinka slamming Blagojevich about promises, college tax breaks, and limits on mercury. Helping our current veterans find work seem to be a large problem. (www.dailysouthtown.com) Verterns have ranked top in having a hard time finding employment. These people should not have this hard of time considering the backround they have. It is said that Illinois is ranked last for finding job for veterans, not to mention being laid off after they have been deployed. Next, Topinka is running her campaign and making all of these promises to Illinois when we have had our promises fulfilled when our current Governor made his promises. Everyone wants a term as governor but, they need to make promises to back them up. We have seen the action Blagojevich has done to better Illinois already. Then we have the college tax credit for a thousand dollars if the student maintains a "B" average but they want to make it a "C" average. This bill has not yet been passed, but is on the table Lawmakers want to make need-based programs, which would include grants instead of tax credits. It still has not been approved. (www.chicagotribune.com) Last the mercury emission, Blagojevich supports the act of putting limits on the coal fired plants. They want to improve by ninety percent, this would be the toughest in the country. Nothing on this plan has went through but the talk is still on the table. Finally, Blagojevich has a strong lead and will hold his place as our current governor. He will also debate with Topinka before the next election. But for now he is running Illinois as our Governor.

Strong Lead For Another Term.....

Our current Governor of Illinois has done it again. He won over seventy percent of the victory against Eisendrath which received thirty percent. He now has to face Judy Barr Topinka. (www.dailysouthtown.com) Blagojevich did not do much campaigning but, he does have the backround and the job as our current Governor. He has improved schools and also has drastically changed our health care so every young child has healthcare coverage. He now is in the process of making a law to allow kids at the age of three years old to attend preschool. State funds would also help out this cost of preschool. Blagojevich has a tough race ahead of him and will have to keep the state running smoothly during this battle in November against Topinka.

Blagojevich Remember his Promises...

Blagojevich has television ads to help his campaign out. Many campaign ads on other candidates have been slightly negative toward the other oppents running against them. Blagojevich's campaign for Illinois Governor is strong and in a tight race with Topinka. He needs another term for governor to keep Illinois on the right track. (www.dailysouthtown.com) " I'm not going to raise taxes on the hardworking people of Illinois. I won't do it. I don't believe in it," he said. He is currently working on a few ways to improve Illinois. First, he is working on being able to send our three and four year olds to preschool. Actually trying to make it a mandatory for the kids to attend preschool. The question that you must keep in the back of your mind is where all this money for these fantastic projects is going to come from. Illinois would be the first and the only state to offer this to three and four year olds. A few of the other topics that have been floating around is to help families pay for their college students tuition and to hire more police and prison guards. This is all coming from his election year budget on February 15, 2006. (www.suntimes.com) Blagojevich had not really had any ads in for the new up coming election but, there should be an ad broadcasting soon. He has just begun campaigning throughout Illinois on Sunday February 19, 2006. (www.dailysouthtown.com) Through all of this campaigning Blagojevich has held up his promises a few being to increase children healthcare and to raise minimum wage and he had fulfilled them both. Blagojevich is running strong since he had now begun campaigning for another term in office for Illinois Governor.

Blagojevich in the Top....

Blagojevich is in the lead with half the vote with the other top runner being Topinka in the polls as of February 7, 2006. (www.chicagotribune.com) Blagojevich has one great thing running with him which is fulfilling his agreement to Illinois with completing all his promises made for the previous election. The only turn down out of these promises he made is the fact that Illinois is in debt 20.3 billion dollars. No more projects can begin at this point until they find a way to pay for what we have done all ready. (www.dailysouthtown.com) He is still running strong against his candidates and will continue to do so. He is our current governor but is running for a second term. One of the large topics that have been mentioned is keno this past week, but it has come to a halt and Blagojevich has dropped this topic and is looking into to other ways to balance Illinois budget. (www.chicagobusiness.com) Currently, he is working on a three billion dollar plan called the Captial Construction Program. This would include the improvement of schools, mass transit, and roads. In order to move on with this plan he must find where is this three billion dollars is going to come from. I mentioned previously above about keno, but this was no good and he dropped the plans to move on with the keno plan as of January 25. (www.suburbanchicagonews.com) Another widespread topic that has came around before and is on the table again is uninsured children in Illinois. Blagojevich is working on a program which is called All Kids. With this program families would pay insurance premiums based on their financial income. This program will kick off in July of this year. The reasoning behind all of this and how and why kids need insurance was due to a census that was conducted via the phone and also on paper census mailed to families in Illinois. Studies turned out to be 5.5% of children are without any type of insurance coverage which a lot has to do with parents not being able to afford coverage because of financial restriants.
